SkyLine’s Project Teamwork Supports the 1450th

WEST JEFFERSON, N.C. SkyLine’s Project Teamwork and Ride for Life Committee has presented a $1,000 contribution to Lisa Stamper, wife of SkyLine employee Tim Stamper and coordinator of the family support group for the 1450th Transportation Company of the N.C. National Guard. The donation was made to the family support group with proceeds of the 2004 PT Ride for Life Benefit Run, which has become the primary fund-raising activity for Project Teamwork. When this photo was made, Tim was home on medical leave from Iraq.

Pictured are (left to right): Pam Weaver, Shirley Holman,
Robin Miller,
Debbie Stephens, Mark Baugham, Lisa and Tim Stamper, Karen Powell and Shelby Waddell.

Earlier this year, Project Teamwork and SkyLine Telephone purchased needed cabin cots for members of the Second Platoon of the 1450th Transportation Company, which were gratefully received by the unit.

In the second photo, members of the Ride for Life committee are shown with an Iraqi flag which was sent home by SkyLine employee Joe Taylor, who also serves with the 1450th and is currently stationed in Iraq. Several mementos have been sent to employees by both Joe and Tim and have been warmly appreciated by employees who received them. Our thoughts and prayers remain with these men, their unit and their families.

Project Teamwork is a crisis relief program established by SkyLine employees in 1997. The program continues to touch the lives of many area residents by offering financial support when an accident, illness or tragedy strikes.
