- Double click “My Computer.”
- Double click “Control Panel.”
- Click “Network and Internet,” then click “Network and Sharing Center.”
- Click “Manage Network Connections.”
- Right click on the icon stating “Local Area Connection” and select “Properties.” If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
- Click the “Networking” tab. Under “This connection uses the following items,” click “Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4).”
- Select “Obtain an IP address automatically.”
- Select “Obtain DNS server address automatically.” Click the “OK” button and close all windows.
